Winter Reflection Workshop

January 13, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 pm

£30
Pause with us to reflect on Winter’s Wisdom; Nature’s time for gathering energy to our roots and preparing for the year ahead.

Come and join us, Liz and Doug, at our Winter Reflection event.

Here we are in Winter after another challenging year. 2021 threw us lockdowns, more loss, uncertainty, travel restrictions, furlough, home schooling and brief autumn fuel shortages, along with more time at home Although Covid is still with us, vaccines are enabling travel, return to offices and visiting with vulnerable relatives and friends. Our experiences and reactions are very dependent on our circumstances and inner and external resources. One constant we can fall back on is the cycle of Nature’s seasons.

What will 2022 bring you? It’s easy to let the time fly by or to get ahead of ourselves and time travel into the midst of 2022 armed with worries, assumptions and contingencies. Instead, let’s pause and borrow a leaf from Nature’s Winter Wisdom.

Every season has its own particular energy and purpose and connects with our human rhythm of life. Winter has a particular role in managing nature’s resources. It’s the time for conserving, regenerating and rebalancing in preparation for the coming spring and summer vitality, growth and abundance. Likewise, the gardener uses the Winter pause to tidy, prune, and protect the garden. It’s time to plan for the seeds to be sown and plants to be introduced, moved or replaced in the coming year.

Join us on this spacious hour where we invite you to connect with the metaphor and images of the season. For you, what needs warmth, resourcing, rebalancing, and conserving in preparation for the spring and summer to come. It’s a time for focussing energy and attention inwards to nurture your own roots and prepare for growth to come. It’s a more indoor time inviting greater internal focus.

Please join us with a pen, paper, some crayons and a cup of something lovely and warming!

If you missed our previous reflection sessions, here is what some participants said:

Thank you, Doug and Liz, for a wonderfully reflective and rich session, beautiful, heartily recommend to anyone who can make the next one!
It was great. Just what I needed.
Thanks for such a wonderful session. It was good to make time to reflect on the last year and to think about the things that will nourish and sustain me through winter and beyond. You complement each other well and created a warm cosy atmosphere – we could have been gathered around a winter’s fire.
